Sergey Minenko

Sergey Alexandrovich Minenko was born in Pyatigorst, Russia. Since childhood he fond of filming and he wanted to make his first film. He attended art school, which he left after 3years, and got into the studio of the artist Alexander Yakovlev, where he studied classical drawing. At age 15 he wrote a review of the film and won the competition, the victory was part of the jury of animation films. At age 16 he moved to Moscow to finish school and go to Moscow Architectural Institute. In 2007 he went to study architecture in Brno, Czech Republic.
In parallel with studies he continued to paint, take photos and shoot videos on the small photo camera. He participated in several film festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad. During several years he took off a few short films. The last and greatest work was the short film, The Sleep of Reason, which reflects one of the social problems of today's youth and migrants.
‘‘For me the movie is reverse side of architecture, but is using other building materials: script, actors, light, color, composition, decorations, atmosphere and everything is subordinate to one main idea like as to build of a skyscraper.’’
